1. Free Power to Handloom Weaver Households & Powerloom units:
Govt. have issued G.O.Ms. No.44, Industries & Commerce (Prog-II) Dept., dated:26.03.2025 for providing Free Power up to 200 units per month to Handloom Weaver Households and Free Power up to 500 units per month to Powerloom Units towards safeguarding the interest of the Handloom weavers and sector duly providing the necessary budgetary support through the Energy Department. Also ordered to issue Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for effecting the scheme, in consultation with the Energy Department.
Government issued orders to implement the scheme from 01.04.2026 onwards.
2. Co-operative Handloom Weavers Thrift Fund Scheme:
The objective of the Scheme is to inculcate Thrift habit among the Weaver members of Primary Handloom Weavers Co-operative Societies.
The Government have enhanced the Matching share from 8% to 16% vide G.O.Ms.No.35, Industries & Commerce (Prog. II) Department, dt.11.02.2019 w.e.f. 01.04.2019.
The scheme is being implemented from the financial year 2024-25.
3. NTR Pension Bharosa to Weavers:
Government is implementing NTR Pension Bharosa to Handloom Weavers who are above the age of 50 years..
The pension amount is enhanced to Rs.4,000/- per Weaver per month w.e.f. April, 2024.
4. Cash Credit to PHWCSs:
Working Capital Finance extended for production and marketing of cloth by Primary Handloom Weavers Cooperative Societies (PHWCSs) through District Co-operative Central Banks.
